To Each Their Own

Came into the office today and realized that I am finally getting into the rhythm of things. Audit here at Altria is different from that of Tyco. Tyco was learning the process through testing, which I found effective; however it could lead to over testing with inexperience. Altria is the understanding the process then testing, with the reverse of effect of under testing. With a little more time and training things will workout just fine. I got into the most interesting conversation about whatnots with Justyna our new member to the Kraft-London-Team. She’s midway through a PhD of Internal Audit, Mr. Termine would be most jealous. Now only if I could find a place to live.

Not Homeless Yet

For being a techie to people. I have never posted to Craigslist. That has changed today I posted a request for a roommate in the Chicago area. After realizing that buying a house is does not have a financial benefit. See post below:

What I am Looking for:

I am looking to rent a spacious room; enough to fit a queen size bed and other personal belongings. I would also like garage parking or secure parking and in-unit laundry in the following locations, Evanston, Lakeview, Glenview, and Chicago.

I am in early 20's, I have master's degree, speak Spanish, Colombian, travel for work, new to Chicago, born in Miami, studied in Boston, lived in Princeton,NJ for a while and my favorite city is Barcelona, Spain.

Good Times....

---My Good Bye @ Tyco---
This team is one of a kind, such amazing people, with great leadership, you will be missed. I appreciate the good times, the learning experience, the late nights in Rio, and the beaches in Barcelona. Thank you to those that have made the last 18 months at Audit a memorable experience.

Today is my last day at Tyco. I will be starting a similar job in Chicago, IL next Tuesday. If you’re in Chicago contact me.

Long Night...Early Start

So first time in long time I pulled an all nighters. I made the best of the time updated this blog, performed maintenance on server and some reading. On the 4 th the IPOD broke luckily I was in the New York City and went to Apple Store (59th and 5 Ave). The ipod was still covered that under extend warranty for another 20 days, good buy on the extend warranty :o) Apple Genius (that’s what they call their tech support) gave me a new 4G IPOD. Lost all the song rating so the shuffle is playing most random songs another 18 months to reprogram. The 4 th in the city was pretty cool see the pictures (link: ) it was Catherine first Independence Day in the States, Rachna the girl can talk and Joe rush across the city to get trained almost killed him.

BA, Argentina

I am currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s an impressive city with European feeling and walking friendly. One of the top city is south America. Last night I went to this great sushi restaurant Sushi Club amazing 3 rolls with a glass of wine and desert for 40 USD dollars with tip. It was midnight when I was done with my meal so I went to a nearby club which came highly recommend. However at midnight the club is vacant not a soul insight. Talk about starting late I check around the clubs don’t getting going until you 2:00 AM. Talk about culture clash in most places in the USA clubs are closing or close to last call. To end the story I left the club at 1:00 AM still mostly empty and in bed long before the party got started.

Restart…

So after what seems to be months (a long time in audit years) I am finally starting an audit in about a week. I have also got the opportunity to Brazil. Hopefully this time the Brazil consultant will hopefully finally issue me a 5 year visa. This might not seem like a big deal; however this is the third time applying for a visa in the last 6 months.

Digital Magic…

This picture is the first from my new PowerShot S80 camera. The 8.0 mega pixels might come in handy some day. I am not sure what I will be doing with my new “shine toy” but hopefully I will be traveling soon. My recent audit got canceled so no California. Posted by Picasa

What’s my future?

Well recently I was asked to determine what my future career plans. Since, as long I can remember I want to do great things with Information Technology & Business. I never imagined that would have been IT Auditor traveling world, which is where I am today and grateful for it. So what’s next?
